UNDISCLOSED TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITY

BGg-01.jpg

The building power needs had exceeded the capacity of the current electrical service entrances (SES) and additional power was needed the from the utility company. Additionally, existing service entrances and main distribution gear had reached end of service life and needed to be replaced.

LSW designed a replacement system with eight SES’s and downstream 2N main-tie-tie-main distribution gear which improved redundancy and maintainability throughout the facility. The new gear doubled the power capacity of the facility. The project was a complicated phased design with multiple temporary power scenarios to keep the downstream equipment operating with minimal outages during the replacement of the upstream distribution gear.
